Northwind's security team had grown tired of being the team that everyone called the morning after. Targeted phishing campaigns were landing in inboxes weekly, and even with TOTP and push-prompt MFA in place, the help desk was unwinding at least one credential compromise per month.

When the team trialed Vercrio, the brief was deliberately narrow: replace the second factor for the 800-person engineering org without disrupting on-call workflows or breaking the SSO chain.

The pilot moved 40 engineers in a week. There was one friction point — a small handful of users on legacy hardware needed a fallback enrollment path — and once that was solved, the rest of the rollout took ten working days. Two months in, the metric Priya keeps coming back to isn't the technical one: it's that her team stopped being woken up.

"It's the quiet weeks that have changed," she says. "We used to plan around them not existing."
